HEED Foundation to Extend Support to a JHS 2 Student Living with a Physical Disability in GomoaGomoa, Central Region, Ghana — On 25th September 2026, HEED Foundation will visit a JHS 2 student living with a physical disability in Gomoa as part of an initiative to provide support, encouragement, and hope.The student’s situation was brought to the attention of HEED Foundation through a community referral. Despite experiencing significant mobility challenges, he continues to pursue his education, demonstrating strength and determination.As part of the visit, HEED Foundation will present a comprehensive support package to help meet some of his educational, personal, and household needs. The package is expected to include stationery and educational materials, food items, clothing, towels, bedsheets, bedding, footwear, and personal-care items.The educational support will focus on providing items suitable for a JHS 2 student, including essential stationery and learning materials. The food and household items will help support his basic needs, while clothing, bedding, towels, and hygiene items will contribute to his comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.However, the visit will go beyond the presentation of items. HEED Foundation will also take the opportunity to meet the student and his family, listen to his story, and gain a better understanding of his needs. The Foundation will assess the challenges he faces in relation to his mobility, education, daily activities, and general wellbeing.HEED Foundation will also explore the possibility of future support, including medical assessment, physiotherapy, appropriate mobility assistance, and continued educational support, depending on the outcome of the assessment.The Foundation believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and live with dignity. For children living with disabilities, meaningful support should go beyond donations.
