HEED Foundation Unveils Educational Outreach Program for Final-Year JHS Students in Asokore-Koforidua

The Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship Development (HEED) Foundation has officially launched a major educational outreach initiative aimed at supporting final-year Junior High School (JHS) students as they prepare for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and make important decisions about their academic futures.

Led by the Foundation’s Director of Education, Mr. Atta Kodua Boateng Jr., a team of dedicated HEED Foundation volunteers visited schools in the Asokore-Koforidua community to engage students, parents, teachers, and school administrators in discussions focused on academic excellence, career planning, and educational opportunities.

The outreach program brought together key stakeholders in education to address challenges facing students and to provide guidance on effective preparation strategies for their final examinations. During the sessions, students were encouraged to remain focused on their studies, develop positive learning habits, and set meaningful goals for their future careers.

Speaking during the engagement, Mr. Boateng emphasized the importance of education as a tool for personal and community development. He highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to ensuring that students in underserved communities receive the support and motivation needed to achieve academic success.

“Our goal is not only to help students pass their examinations but also to inspire them to believe in their potential and pursue higher educational opportunities,” he noted.

The interactive sessions also provided parents and teachers with an opportunity to discuss ways to better support students during this critical stage of their education. Topics covered included examination preparation, career guidance, personal discipline, and the role of families and schools in student achievement.

The initiative forms part of HEED Foundation’s broader Education Program, which seeks to improve educational outcomes and expand opportunities for young people throughout Ghana. Through mentorship, academic support programs, educational advocacy, and community engagement, the Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of leaders.

Community members who participated in the program expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s efforts, noting that such engagements help motivate students and strengthen collaboration between schools, families, and the wider community.

As HEED Foundation continues its mission of promoting health, education, and entrepreneurship, the organization remains committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, resources, and encouragement necessary to build brighter futures.
