The Health Education and Entrepreneurship Development (H.E.E.D) Foundation announced and presented it’s first volunteer of the year award at the recently completed health screening at Asokore, near Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The criteria for winning the award included HEED volunteer who had volunteered more than twice for the foundation in its activities and has shown dedication and commitment to the work of the foundation. Mrs. Doris Owusu came out as the winner of the 2018 volunteer of the year awardee. She first joined HEED as a volunteer for its first health screening screaming and has completed two more since then. She also headed the first breast cancer awareness walk in October 2018. She has also given lectures on health topics at local schools. She was presented with a certificate and cash prize. The HEED Foundation thanks Mirs. Owusu for her services and standing commitment to the foundation and also to her community.
