Koforidua – ER, Aug. 21 – The Health Education Entrepreneurship and Development (HEED) Foundation made kind donations to three (4) schools at Asokore-Koforidua in the Eastern Region on the 16th of July, 2018. The foundation which is aimed at promoting health literacy and healthy living, scholarships and opportunity for entrepreneurial growth to the people of the communities it serves, presented stationery items to the schools namely Methodist, Roman Catholic, SDA and Salvation Army primary schools.
The foundation was represented by Ms. Mabel Boateng and Mr. Atta Kodua Boateng (Education Director of the foundation) during the presentations which the headmasters of the various schools were present and received the items with appreciation.
Amidst the presentation, the students were addressed by the leader of the delegation from HEED, Mr. Boateng who advised them to study hard and not indulge in things that would not benefit them in other to avoid results like teenage pregnancy.
The Chair of the foundation, Dr. Adae Opoku Amoako had hinted that, there will be more of these donations in the coming months not only in that region but schools across the country.
He said there are other activities they are putting together in partnership with very credible partners like Usher1 which will also be targeted at the schools especially the basic schools.
