Chorkor, Accra – (G/R), August 5th – The Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship Development (H.E.E.D). Foundation, on Saturday the August 5. 2017 teamed up with ReachOut World Mission in collaboration with Brave Faith Foundation and Scholar’s Project in the Great James Hangout. The Great James Hangout was an education and health program held at the Great James Academy, a school based in Chorkor in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

The day was filled with activities such as free health screening for both pupils of the school and their parents whereas members of the community who were interested were not left out. There were other activities such as cooking and eating with the children. Volunteers of the H.E.E.D. Foundation were available to help with the activities. They participated in distribution of medications as well as testing for malaria.

The event culminated with a donation of stationery items by the H.E.E.D. Foundation in partnership with the ReachOut World Mission and other organizations to the school and students. The donation was to remind students of the importance of education and the H.E.E.D. Foundation’s resolve to help in whatever way it can.

Management of the school pleaded for funds from individuals and organizations to help them roof their school building and also provide them with appropriate furniture for the school children.

H.E.E.D. Foundation volunteer and Director of Promotions and Marketing Ms. Akosua Opoku-Agyemang summarized her experience as, “It was a good and fulfilling experience. Seeing the kids’ face lit with the games and donations was touching. I look forward to doing more for these children and other children in need with the H.E.E.D. Foundation.”
