ENTREPRENEURS ENROLLED

Koforidua – Ghana, June 18th – The Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship Development foundation is winding down this year’s activities with implementation of one of their main projects. This past May, the foundation successfully enrolled its first class of entrepreneurs ; three people into vocational schools and also gave seed money to one entrepreneur in starting his business. The enrollees were Ms. Felicia Adu, Ms, Gifty Amoani, and Ms. Sarah Twenewaa who were enrolled in dress and clothes making, hair dressing, and culinary arts (with emphasids on bakery) respectively.  Mr. Isaac Oppong was the fourth beneficiary of the program. He wanted to start a poultry farm and HEED helped him with financial assistant with his first purchase of chicken and feeds to start. He will also receive business and finance management training in the future. Mr. Joshua Wiredu (member of the entrepreneurship committee) presented items and money on behalf of HEED for Ms. Adu and Amoani and Mr. Oppong.  Mr. Daniel Twum (HEED Foundation Chief Financial Officer) presented a check to Ms. Twenewaa on behalf of HEED. In his remarks during the presentation, he stated  “this goes to show that the tentacles of the HEED foundation is not just in the Eastern Region but the whole country and will continue to access well deserved individuals who need the foundation’s support“.

Mrs. Cecilia Amoako, director of entrepreneurship of the HEED foundation thanked the volunteers on her committee for their help from planning to execution of this endeavor. She admonished the enrollees to take advantage of this opportunity which is sought by several individuals but can only be provided to a few at the moment.

 The Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship Development (H.E.E.D.) Foundation is a 501(C)(3) recognized non-profit organization in the United States which operates as a recognized non-governmental organization in Ghana established to help the indigenes with specific programs based on need through health, educational, and entrepreneurial support.
